Pass Host Control of a Meeting in the VRIFY App

Learn how to share presentation control so multiple presenters can host from their iPads.

Updated this week

Overview

When hosting a presentation in the VRIFY app — whether during an In-Person meeting or Live Share — you can pass host controls to another iPad. This allows multiple presenters to take turns leading different parts of the Deck, keeping your presentation smooth and collaborative.

Host controls include the ability to change Slides, interact with 3D models and 360° views, and annotate directly on the Deck.

Note: Both hosts and co-hosts must present from the VRIFY app on an iPad in order to pass host control.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Pass host control in an In-Person Meeting:

  1. Start an In-Person Meeting and add the participant iPad.

  2. Open Participants View.

    • In the meeting, go to the Participants View.

  3. Pass control.

    • Tap Pass Control next to the participant iPad you want to make Host. Control will now switch to that iPad.

  4. Take back control (optional).

    • At any point, tap Guests in the upper-right corner. Then, next to your own name, tap Take Control to regain Host access.

      • Note: Only one iPad can hold Host controls at a time.

Pass host control in a Live Share:

  1. Start a Live Share and wait for the participant iPad to join.

  2. Tap Invite

    • Located at the top right corner of the host iPad screen

  3. Pass control.

    • Select the person to pass control to by clicking the host icon

  4. Take back control (optional).

    • At any point, tap Guests in the upper-right corner. Then, next to your own name, tap the host icon to regain Host access.

      • Note: Only one iPad can hold Host controls at a time.

Notes

  • Presenters can switch control as often as needed.

  • Make sure all devices stay connected to Wi-Fi to avoid dropouts during the control handoff.
