Overview
This article explains how to start and manage meetings in the VRIFY iOS app. You’ll learn how to share a 3D Presentation with nearby iPads, invite remote participants, and run hybrid meetings with both in-person and online attendees.
Follow the steps below to get started.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Preparation
Before starting a meeting, make sure all iPads are prepped in advance to avoid interruptions:
Update the VRIFY app to the latest version
Ensure all iPads are running the latest version of iOS
Confirm you have access to a stable internet connection
To confirm that your internet connection is stable, check that you can stream videos easily on platforms such as LinkedIn or YouTube.
Download the 3D Presentation
you plan to present:
The download icon
will appear next to 3D Presentations that need to be synced to your device
Click the icon or open the presentation to automatically start the download
Click through the 3D Presentation to pre-load all 3D and 360 slides to ensure a smooth presentation experience
Prepare Nearby iPads
Before starting a meeting, each nearby iPad must:
Open the VRIFY app
Toggle on Wi-Fi
Toggle on Bluetooth
Enable Local Network Access for the VRIFY app

Share With Nearby iPads
Open the VRIFY App on the host iPad
Tap the VRIFY icon on your iPad to open the app
Select the 3D Presentation
Tap the 3D Presentation you want to share
If it isn’t already saved on your iPad, it will download automatically
You will see a download indicator in the top right corner showing progress
The presentation must be downloaded before participants can be added
Invite participants
Tap Invite in the upper right
VRIFY will begin searching for nearby iPads
Make sure that all iPads have the VRIFY app open

Add nearby iPads to the meeting
Once nearby devices appear on your screen, tap the icons to add them to the meeting
The 3D Presentation will automatically be downloaded to the VRIFY app on each participant’s device
You are now ready to share your 3D Presentation.
Invite Online Participants
From your meeting, you can invite online participants (joining from the app or the web), by generating and sharing a link that will allow participants to join through the internet. This allows in-person participants to join your meeting using the local network while other participants join using a generated meeting link.
Connect to the internet (if you are connected to the internet, skip to step 3)
Keeping the VRIFY App open, swipe down from the top right of the iPad screen to open the Control Panel to access the Wi-Fi settings
Press and hold the the Wi-Fi panel to expand connectivity options
Tap the Wi-Fi icon again
Select an available network that has a strong connection
Close the control panel
Generate a meeting code
Send the meeting code to online participants
Share this code with online participants to join, based on their device:
iPad participants:
Tap Join Meeting in the VRIFY app and enter the meeting code.
Web participants:
Go to vrify.com/meetings in a browser
Enter the 5 digit Meeting Code
Start presenting
View participants connection type
Pass and Take Control of a Meeting
While presenting, you can give host controls to a participant so they can lead a section of the 3D Presentation. You can take control back at any time and pass control to multiple participants at a time, as needed. Note that only iPad users can pass and take host control.
Pass Control
Tap Pass Control under a participant’s icon.
Their icon will show a blue circle, and they’ll gain presenter controls, including navigation arrows and annotation tools.
Take Control Back
Tap Take Control under your icon to regain presenter access.
You can switch control back and forth as often as needed.
End a Meeting
To end the meeting and disconnect participants, tap the X in the upper left, then select End Meeting.
