Add a Text Box to a 3D Slide [Beta]

Learn how to place, edit, and reposition a text box in a 3D Slide in VRIFY Present.

Overview

A text box displays a title and body copy on a 3D Slide. Use one to provide context or highlight details that support the slide's content.

Note: This article applies to VRIFY Present Beta, which includes features not available in VRIFY Present Legacy.

Step by Step Instructions

Add a text box to a 3D Slide

  1. Open the Add Objects & Files panel on the left side of the screen.

  2. Expand the Graphics folder.

  3. Click + next to Text Box to add it to the slide:

    Plus icon
    • Repeat to add multiple text boxes.


Open the Properties panel

  1. Open the Object Settings panel on the right side of the screen.

  2. Select the Graphics folder.

  3. Click Text Box to open the Properties panel:

💡Tip: To centre the text box on the slide, right-click Text Box in the Object Settings panel and select Focus.

Position the text box

  1. To move, rotate, or scale the object, select the object control tool and adjust the position in the scene.

  2. Select a text alignment setting.

  3. Toggle the text box background on or off.

  4. Select the Billboard checkbox if you want the text box to face forward as you navigate around the slide.


Add text

  1. Under the Line 1 section, select the preferred font style.

  2. Add text.

    • Hit Enter to create a line break.

  3. Click + beside the Lines tally to add up to three line sections:

    Plus icon to add new lines
    • Each group can have individually customized font size and colour. For example; Line 1 could be used for a title, Line 2 a subtitle, and Line 3 a description.

Additional Notes

  • Check the position of the text box from different angles in the initial slide view before saving.

  • Make sure the font size and colour can be easily read against the background.

  • The text box can be shown or hidden when presenting using the Layers menu:
