Recommended Hardware for VRIFY Presentations on External Screens

This article explains the essential adapters, cables, and setup tips for using the VRIFY app on an iPad with an external screen at conferences or events.

Updated this week

Overview

If you’re presenting with the VRIFY app on an iPad and an external screen, it’s important to bring reliable, compatible hardware. Our team has tested and recommends specific adapters, but since event setups and screen quality can vary, we strongly recommend testing your equipment in advance and inspecting it before every presentation to ensure a smooth experience.

Recommended Adapters

Bring multiple adapters to the event so you always have a backup in case one fails.

We recommend purchasing one of the following USB-C adapters:

High-Quality HDMI Cable

An HDMI cable will connect your USB-C adapter to the external screen.

Venues usually provide this cable at the podium, but we recommend bringing your own, tested HDMI cable.

Look for a short, high-quality cable to reduce the chance of interference or signal drop.

Tips

  • Check for kinks, frayed sections, or exposed wires.

  • Avoid using any cable that shows wear, as these can lead to unpredictable connection issues.

  • If possible, connect your equipment to the actual podium screen before the event starts. This ensures that:

    • The screen accepts input from your iPad via the adapter.

    • Your content displays correctly.

    • You can troubleshoot issues ahead of time.
