Add Hotspots to a 360 Slide [Beta]

Learn how to add and customize Location, Information, and 360 Image Hotspots in a 360 Slide.

Overview

Hotspots are interactive points that guide viewers through a 3D Slide. Each Hotspot can link to another 360 image, display additional information, or navigate to a specific location.

Types of Hotspots

There are six types of Hotspot available for 360 Slides. The type controls what happens when a viewer clicks it.

Location Hotspot

Pin with a custom title.

Use to identify an area or object in the 360 image.

Information

Information Hotspot

Title and information icon.

Opens an attached description when clicked.

360

360 Slide Hotspot

Title and image icon.

Navigates to another 360 Slide image when clicked.

Image

Image Hotspot

Title and image icon.

Opens an image from Company Files when clicked.

Video

Video Hotspot

Title and video icon.

Plays a video from Company Files when clicked.

PDF

PDF Hotspot

Title and document icon.

Opens a PDF from Company Files when clicked.

Image, Video, and PDF Hotspots pull data from Company Files, not Asset Files. See Difference Between Asset Files and Company Files for details.


Step by Step Instructions

The steps below walk you through adding and customizing a Hotspot:

  1. In the top right corner of the Object Settings panel, click the Hotspot icon:

  2. Click the location in the 360 image where you want to place the Hotspot. Left-click on the pin to drag the Hotspot to a different location:

  3. In the Hotspot settings panel, select the type from the dropdown:

  4. Fill in the Hotspot details based on the type selected:

  5. Click Create Hotspot.

The Hotspot appears in the 360 image and is visible to viewers in Present mode:


Additional Notes

  • Object customization saves automatically. To save the initial slide view, click Save Changes in the upper right when you are finished editing.
