Overview
VRIFY Decks combine interactive 3D models, 360° drone imagery, and corporate PDFs to deliver investors a powerful and engaging way to understand a mining company’s story.
Unlike traditional 2D PDF or PowerPoint slides, VRIFY presentations are more dynamic, immersive, and simple to set up, whether presented on stage or in smaller meeting formats.
Speakers will typically present their VRIFY Decks directly from the VRIFY App on an iPad. This setup allows for flexible, portable presenting via Apple TV or HDMI connection, ensuring presentations can proceed even in environments with limited connectivity.
This guide is written for event organizers and AV teams to help facilitate smooth VRIFY Deck presentations at conferences. It outlines the ideal AV setup, along with three contingency options should any technical issues arise:
Ideal:
Option 1: iPad Screen Mirroring via Apple TV (No internet access required)
Next Best:
Option 2: Wired Connection from iPad to HDMI (No internet access required)
Not Recommended:
Option 3: Wireless connection using VRIFY Meetings (Requires strong Wi-Fi access)
Option 1: iPad Screen Mirroring via Apple TV (Ideal)
No internet access required
An Apple TV (provided by the conference or VRIFY) connected to an HDMI will be set up close to the stage.
The Apple TV can be underneath the podium, but a discreet side table beside the stage is preferable in case it needs to be accessed during the show.
Proximity to the stage is important so the connection between the iPad and the Apple TV is not broken by too much distance.
Prior to the presenter walking on stage, the iPad being used for the VRIFY presentation connects to the Apple TV via screen mirroring. This connection uses bluetooth technology and no internet is required.
The AV team confirms they can see the Apple TV feed working correctly. If VRIFY support staff is present, they will touch base with the AV Team to confirm they can see the Apple TV feed 15 minutes before the presenter walks on stage.
Presenter walks on stage with a wireless iPad, AV team switches to the Apple TV HDMI feed and the presentation begins.
Option 2: Wired Connection from iPad to HDMI (Next Best)
No internet access required
An HDMI cable is supplied at the podium with an HDMI-to-USBC adaptor compatible with iPads.
The presenter walks on stage and plugs their iPad into the HDMI.
The AV team switches the feed to the HDMI and the presentation begins.
Option 3: Wireless connection using VRIFY Live Share (Not Recommended)
Requires a strong Wi-Fi connection
Visit vrify.com/meetings on the laptop that is projecting the decks on stage.
Prior to beginning the presentation, the VRIFY presenter will supply the AV Desk with a five digit meeting code, which is entered in the space provided on the vrify.com/meetings webpage.
The meeting code is visible prior to starting the Live Share Meeting, and on the host iPad once the meeting has started on the bottom left of the screen, listed as the Share Code.
Once the meeting code is entered, the AV team just needs to provide a name in the pop up window and click Continue as Guest - no sign in or account is required.
The VRIFY presenter can now wirelessly and control the deck from the device they are using on the stage.
