Understanding User Permissions in VRIFY

Learn how user permissions work in VRIFY and how access is controlled across product areas.

Updated today

Overview

User permissions in VRIFY allow Company Admins to control which areas of the platform each user can access.

When permissions are set correctly:

  • Users only see what they need

  • Sensitive data stays protected

  • Teams can work more efficiently

If a user does not have access to a specific area, it will not appear in their left-side navigation.

How User Permissions Work

User permissions determine which areas in VRIFY’s integrated software platform a user can access. Permissions are assigned at the user level and can be adjusted when inviting a new user or updating an existing one.

Depending on the permissions assigned, a user may have access to one product area, multiple areas, or full administrative control.

Permission Areas

Present

Create and edit 3D Presentations, recordings, embeds, and Company Files

Predict

Build and manage DORA experiments

Data

Upload and manage project data through the Files Uploader

Company Admin

Manage users and company settings

(Automatically includes access to all areas of VRIFY)

Default Access Behaviour

When a new user is added, the default permission setting is Company Admin, which provides full access to all areas of VRIFY.

This can be changed to allow access to one or more specific areas, such as:

  • Present only

  • Predict only

  • Data only

To learn how to adjust permissions, see Add, Update, or Remove User Permissions in VRIFY.
