Add a Photo to a Drilling Highlight

Learn how to publish Drill Photos in the correct order before mapping and publishing Highlights data in VRIFY Prepare.

Overview

You can include a Drill Photo with your Highlights data on a 3D Slide in VRIFY Present. The photo displays with a title and description alongside the image.

To connect correctly, Drill Photos must be validated and published before you map and publish your Highlights data. The Image File Name column in your Highlights .csv must contain the exact file name of the photo, including the file extension.

Step by Step Instructions

  1. Upload your photo files to the Drilling > Drill Photos subfolder through the Files uploader:

    Drill Photos subfolder
    • Note: As a best practice, name each file with the Hole ID it refers to (eg., DDH26-001_corephoto.jpg or DDH26-001_Section5.pdf), so it's easier to associate the file with the correct drillhole.

  2. In VRIFY Prepare, and select Drilling from the Data Room sidebar on the left.

  3. Drag the photo file into the workspace, then validate and publish. See Validate and Publish Drilling Data.

  4. Open your Highlights .csv and add an Image File Name column.

  5. Enter the exact file name of the photo in the Image File Name column, including the file extension (eg., DDH26-001_corephoto.jpg).

  6. Save the .csv and upload the updated file to Drilling > Drillholes through the Files uploader:

    Drillholes subfolder
  7. Categorize, map and publish your Highlights data. See Validate and Publish Drilling Data.

  8. Once both files are Accepted, you can add an image to a Highlight on a 3D Slide. See Add Drillholes to a 3D Slide.
