Customize Property Boundaries in a 3D Slide [Beta]

Learn how to add a property boundary to a 3D Slide and configure its line style, colour, and thickness.

Overview

This article explains how to customize Property Boundaries on a 3D Slide. The Property Boundary configuration panel lets you control the line style, colour, and thickness of the boundary line rendered in the 3D Slide.

Note: This article applies to VRIFY Present Beta, which includes features not available in VRIFY Present Legacy. View legacy instructions at Building 3D Presentations.


Step by Step Instructions

Customize Boundary Line Styling

To access the property boundary settings in a 3D Slide in VRIFY Present:

  1. Click Property Boundary in the Object Settings panel

  2. Click the title of the property boundary to open the Properties panel.

The Properties panel shows the asset file name in the header and three settings: Line Styling, Line Colour, and Line Thickness:


Change the Line Style

To change the line style of a property boundary:

  1. Click the Line Styling dropdown and select between a solid line (default) or a dashed line


Change the Line Colour

To change the colour of a property boundary line in a 3D Slide:

  1. Click Select Line Colour.

  2. Set your colour using any of the following:

    • Click and drag in the colour gradient to adjust saturation and brightness

    • Drag the hue slider to change the base colour

    • Enter a value in the Hex field

    • Enter values in the R, G, and B fields


Change the Line Thickness

  1. Open the property boundary configuration panel (see above).

  2. Drag the Line Thickness slider. Drag right to increase thickness; drag left to decrease it.

  3. Settings will automatically save when you close the properties panel.


Additional Notes

  • Use a high-contrast colour against your topography style to keep the property boundary visible at all camera angles.

  • Use Dash Line when you want to distinguish a property boundary from infrastructure lines or other linear features in the same slide.

  • Object customization saves automatically. To save the initial slide view, click Save Changes in the upper right when you are finished editing.
