Add 3D Objects to a 3D Slide [Beta]

Learn how to add 3D objects, scale bars, and geo-referenced models to a 3D Slide.

Overview

Add 3D Objects to a 3D Slide to provide visual context, including markers, pins, mining equipment, and geo-referenced models such as ore bodies and pit shells. Add a Scale Object to communicate real-world distances.

About 3D Object Types

VRIFY Present includes three types of 3D objects. The type determines what customization options are available and whether the object can be repositioned on the slide.

Object Type

Examples

Markers, pins, arrows, and badges (provided by VRIFY)

3D Objects

Vehicles, equipment, and logos

Static Objects

Geo-referenced assets such as ore bodies, infrastructure, and pit shells


Step by Step Instructions

Add a 3D Object

From the Add Objects & Files panel:

  1. Click the 3D Models folder to expand it.

  2. Select an object folder (Common, 3D Objects, Static).

  3. Click the + icon beside the object you want to add:

Once added, the object will appear in a 3D Object folder in the Object Settings panel.


Customize a 3D Object

  1. Click 3D Models in the Object Settings panel.

  2. Click the title of the 3D object to open the Properties panel:

💡Tip: To centre the object on the slide, right-click the object name in the Object Settings panel and select Focus.

Additional Notes

  • Select Revert Changes at the bottom of the panel to discard any unsaved modifications and restore your previous settings.

  • Object customization saves automatically. To save the initial slide view, click Save Changes in the upper right when you are finished editing.

  • Only files with Accepted status appear in the Add Objects & Files panel when building a 3D Slide. If an object or file is missing, check its status on the Files page. Learn more about your File Status.
