Troubleshooting Guide: In-Person iPad Meetings

Basic Troubleshooting Steps:


iPads Aren’t Connecting to Each Other

1. Ensure your Wi-Fi is turned on but not connected to any networks (all iPads)

iPads can connect directly to each other without being connected to the internet. However, Wi-Fi must still be turned on for this connection to work.

For the most reliable performance, we recommend not connecting to a Wi-Fi network during these sessions. This prevents interference and ensures the best possible connection between the iPads.

Your Wi-Fi settings on all iPads should look this like:

3. Ensure that you have allowed local network access to the VRIFY App (all iPads)

If you didn't allow Local Network access when setting up the VRIFY app, you will need to do so now.

To turn on Local Network, head to your iPad Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > Scroll down to VRIFY > Toggle on (shows green) beside “Local Network”:


Decks Are Not Visible Under “All Decks”

While you don’t need an internet connection to run in-person meetings, you must prepare in advance while connected to the internet:

  • While connected to a stable internet connection, log in and download the Deck(s) you plan to present from the host iPad.

    • For best performance, download the Deck(s) to the participants' iPads as well.


Prompted to Re-Authenticate Your VRIFY login to Exit the Meeting

  • For security reasons, if you do not have a passcode set up on your iPad, you will need to re-authenticate your VRIFY login to exit the meeting.
