Overview
2D Lines display infrastructure and geological line data in your 3D Slide. Lines drape onto the topography and can be configured by colour, line style, and opacity. Common examples include roads and surface infrastructure, fault lines, and geological contacts.
Note: This article applies to VRIFY Present Beta, which includes features not available in VRIFY Present Legacy. View legacy instructions at Building 3D Presentations.
Step by Step Instructions
Add 2D Lines to a 3D Slide
Expand the 2D Objects folder in the Add Objects & Files panel.
Click the Lines folder:
Click the + icon beside the file you want to add:
The lines will overlay the topography and a 2D Objects folder will appear in the Object Settings panel.
Customize 2D Lines
Click the object name in the 2D Lines folder to open the Properties panel:
Show or Hide the Legend
Click the Legend icon in the Properties panel.
The legend appears in the lower right corner of the slide:
Adjust the Line Transparency
Use the slider to make the lines more or less transparent. The scale runs from 0 (fully transparent) to 1 (fully opaque):
Change the Attribute
Use the dropdown to select the attribute used. Available attributes reflect the fields in the uploaded data file:
Customize Individual Attributes
Click the colour swatch beside the attribute to change the line colour
Click the arrow beside the attribute to open additional line customization:
Additional Notes
Object customization saves automatically. To save the initial slide view, click Save Changes in the upper right when you are finished editing.
Only files with Accepted status appear in the asset list when building a 3D Slide. If an object or file is missing, check its status on the Files page. Learn more about your File Status.
