Getting Started with VRIFY Present [Beta]

An overview of the data objects, visual effects, and slide features currently available for Beta testing in VRIFY Present.

VRIFY Present (Beta) marks a shift in how 3D Presentations are built. Previously, our internal team created and managed 3D models on your behalf, meaning even small changes like updating a colour or swapping out a data layer required coming back to us. With this release, that control is in your hands. You decide what data comes into a slide, how it looks, and how it updates, without needing to raise a request with our team.

The features listed below are available for beta testing right now. We are continuously developing and will update this article as new features become ready. If you have questions or feedback at any point, please reach out to your VRIFY contact.

Uploading your data? See Upload Your Data [Beta] for accepted file formats and step-by-step upload instructions.

Data Objects Available to Add to 3D Slides

Topography

Explore terrain visualization across your property and the surrounding region. Adjust the area style to suit your preference, with options including contours, gradients, and hatch patterns.

Property Boundaries

View your property boundaries overlaid directly on the topography in a 3D Slide.

Drillholes

Visualize drilling data in 3D, and adjust the styling of drill collars, traces, assays, lithology, and highlights.

Block Models

Load and display your block model in 3D and colour-code blocks by any attribute, such as grade, lithology, or density, to communicate the distribution of key variables across your deposit.

Geochemistry

Display geochemical sample data in 3D. Create bins and adjust cylinder dimensions and lighting to suit your story.

Geophysics

Load geophysical raster data, apply colour gradients, and layer multiple surveys over the topography.

3D Objects

Place 3D models into your 3D Slide. Georeferenced (static) objects are fixed in space; non-georeferenced objects are movable and can be repositioned.

Pit Shells

Display open pit mine surface models. Pit shell objects automatically crop the topography above the pit, giving you an accurate visual representation of the excavation. Adjust the colour via the config panel colour picker.

2D Lines

Display infrastructure and geological line data in your 3D Slide. Lines drape onto the topography and can be configured by colour, line style, and opacity. Common examples include roads and surface infrastructure, fault lines, and geological contacts.

2D Polygons

Display geology and area polygon layers that drape onto topography, with per-category colour, visibility, and opacity controls.

2D Images

Place flat images such as photos, cross-sections, or corporate slides directly into your 3D Slide. These objects are movable and can be repositioned within the scene. An opacity slider and billboard toggle give you control over how they appear.

Predict Results

View DORA prediction outputs directly in the 3D viewer. Adjust settings for the prediction results, surface and subsurface VPS, target groups, and learning data.

3D Slide Visual Effects and Features

Labels

Add text labels to points or objects within your 3D Slide, with customizable sizing and styling.

Highlight Objects

Draw attention to specific objects in your slide by applying a configurable glow effect with adjustable colour, spread, and intensity.

Legends

Create a custom legend directly from the toolbar. Add a title, colour swatches, and text entries to explain the colour coding or symbology.

X-Ray Mode

Make 3D objects visible even when they sit behind terrain or other objects in the slide.

Compass

Use the interactive 3D compass to orient yourself in the slide. Choose from three display sizes: a full-sized compass, a large compass, or a small north arrow indicator.

Scale Bar

A scale bar can be added and auto-adjusts based on scale and camera position to provide consistent spatial reference.

360 Slide Features

Embed 360 photography into your presentation to give viewers an immersive, interactive view of your site and its surroundings.

Transition Viewpoint

Set the camera position the viewer will animate to when the slide loads. Use this to direct attention to a specific area or feature within the 360 image.

Hotspots

Place interactive markers directly onto your 360 image to highlight points of interest. Hotspots come in six types:

  • Location: pins to identify an area or object

  • Information: open a title and description

  • 360: navigate to another 360 image

  • PDF: attaches a PDF in a full-screen overlay

  • Image: opens an attached image in a full-screen overlay

  • Video: plays in a full screen overlay
