What are Labels?

Learn about VRIFY's new Label feature.

Overview

Labels are visual indicators used in the layers of your 3D Models to identify key areas such as infrastructure, names of places, and main areas of interest like zones and projects.

While some aspects of Labels will continue to be managed by the VRIFY team, creating and editing your own Labels will allow you to make quick and easy changes to your 3D Model Labels.

Key Features

  • Any Label that you add to a 3D Model will be added to the Layers List in any of the Slides across other Decks that use the 3D Model you're adding the Label to. Labels added will be hidden in other Slides by default, so if you want to reuse them, simply make the Label visible in your other 3D Slide(s).

  • The font size of a Label is automatically set based on your zoom distance to ensure optimal scale within your model. However, you can override the font size as needed when editing your Labels.

  • By default, Labels are created with a flagpole to visually indicate what area of the 3D Model the Label is associated with. However, you can opt to hide a Label's flagpole to better indicate that the Label is in reference to a more broad area within your 3D Slide.

  • Labels are Text Layers, and like other Layers in a 3D Model, you have the ability to hide or show Labels in each slide that uses the 3D Model. This provides flexibility while creating 3D Slides.
