Overview
Hosting an in-person meeting on iPad connects nearby iPads to your 3D Presentation without a meeting code. You do not need an internet connection, which makes in-person meetings a good fit for conference floors and remote locations where internet is unreliable.
To host, you need to be logged in to the VRIFY app and have your presentation downloaded to your iPad in advance. Turn on Wi-Fi, disconnect from any Wi-Fi network, and check that Local Network is turned on for VRIFY. In-person meetings do not work without it.
To start the meeting, open the downloaded presentation and tap Invite to open the Participants window. Nearby iPads appear there when participants open the VRIFY app and make their iPads visible. In-person hosts add participants by tapping Tap to Add.
To include participants in another location, add the participants in the room first, then connect to the internet and add online participants. Participants see the first slide until you start navigating through the presentation.

Before You Host an In-Person Meeting
Complete steps 1 and 2 while your iPad is still connected to the internet.
Disconnect from your network in step 3, after your presentation is downloaded and loaded. An active network can interfere with your iPad connecting to nearby iPads, especially when conference Wi-Fi is slow.
Update the VRIFY app and your iPad to the latest versions so the app works as expected. See Update the VRIFY App and Update Your iPad to the Latest iOS.
Download or update the 3D Presentation you plan to host. Open the presentation and go through every slide so all 3D and 360 slides load fully. See Download Presentations on iPad.
Check that Local Network access is enabled for VRIFY. See Enable Local Network Access on Your iPad.
Keep Wi-Fi turned on and disconnect from any Wi-Fi network. See Disconnect from a Wi-Fi Network on iPad.
Step by Step Instructions
In the sidebar, under 3D Presentations, tap All Downloads to see the presentations already on your iPad.
Tap the open presentation you want to host.
Tap Invite at the top right. The Participants window opens.
Ask each participant to open the VRIFY app and tap Join In-Person in the sidebar under Meetings. If a participant is not logged in, ask them to tap Join Meeting on the home screen instead.
Check that each participant's iPad shows a green Visible icon and the message Visible to Nearby iPads.
On your iPad, wait for the participant's icon to appear in the Participants window. The icon shows the name of their iPad.
Tap Tap to Add to add the participant to the meeting. Repeat for each participant.
The meeting starts when you add the first participant. The Invite label in the upper right changes to Participants and shows the number of people in the meeting. Tap it to reopen the window.

Add Online Participants to an In-Person Meeting
Start your in-person meeting and add the participants in the room first. Then add participants who are in another location. Participants already in the room stay connected.
Before you add online participants, connect your iPad to a stable internet network. Then follow these steps:
Tap Participants in the upper right to reopen the Participants window.
At the bottom, tap Connect via Internet. If your iPad is not connected to the internet, the message Internet Required appears. Connect to a network, then tap Try Again.
Share the meeting code, or tap Copy Link and share the link. Use your preferred communication platform.
Online participants join when they enter the meeting code. You do not need to add them. They appear in the same list as in-person participants, and each icon shows Online or In-Person, depending on how they joined. See Host an Online Meeting on iPad.
End an In-Person Meeting
Tap the X in the upper left.
If any participants are still connected, Are you sure you want to end this meeting? appears. Tap End Meeting.
If a Participant Does Not Appear in an In-Person Meeting
There are several reasons a nearby iPad may not appear when you start an In-Person meeting. Start by confirming that they have the VRIFY app open on their iPad, then confirm that they have Local Network access enabled.
