Share a 3D Presentation Deck With Nearby iPads

Share a 3D Presentation Deck with nearby iPads during in-person meetings, no internet required.

Updated over a week ago

Overview

Use the VRIFY app to share a 3D Presentation Deck across multiple iPads in the same room, no internet required. This setup is ideal for in-person meetings in locations with unreliable connectivity, like conference room floors or remote mining sites.

One iPad acts as the host, controlling the flow of the presentation, including 3D models, 360° imagery, and annotations. All nearby iPads follow along in real time.

To use this feature, all iPads need to be updated to the latest version of VRIFY.

Preparation

Before starting a meeting, make sure all iPads are prepped in advance to avoid interruptions during your presentation:

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open the VRIFY App on the host iPad

    • Tap the VRIFY icon on your iPad to open the app.

  2. Select the 3D Presentation Deck

    • Tap the 3D Presentation Deck you want to share.

  3. Invite Participants

    • Tap Invite in the upper right.

    • Invite button

    • VRIFY will begin searching for nearby iPads. Make sure that all iPads have the VRIFY app open. If you don’t see nearby iPads, try the steps in this troubleshooting guide.

    • Need to add remote participants? Switch to an online meeting.

  4. Add Nearby iPads to the Meeting

    • Once nearby devices appear on your screen, tap the icons to add them to the meeting.

    • Add participants

    • The 3D Presentation Deck will automatically be downloaded to the VRIFY app on each participant’s device. When the participant icon turns white, they’ve successfully joined and can view the 3D Presentation Deck.

    • participant added

    • You can add up to 8 participant iPads.

You are now ready to present the 3D Presentation Deck. To end the meeting and disconnect participants, tap the X in the upper left, then select End Meeting.

Best Practices

  • Ensure all iPads are fully charged before the meeting — switching devices mid-meeting breaks the flow.

  • Before your meeting, test the setup in the location (conference room floor, remote site, etc.) where you'll be presenting to confirm that nearby iPads pair without issues.
