How to update the VRIFY App

This article walks you through the steps to manually check for updates to the VRIFY App and install them.

Overview

Keeping the VRIFY App up to date is important to ensure the best possible experience in the app and while presenting your VRIFY Decks. Your iPad or iPhone running the VRIFY App may already automatically update the app for you,

Follow the steps below to manually check for updates in the App Store and install them.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Follow the instructions below to manually update the VRIFY App on your iPad or iPhone. Note that the screenshots may vary slightly depending on what iOS device you are on.

  1. Unlock your iPad.

  2. Open the App Store. The Apple App Store icon looks like this:

  3. On the top right corner of the screen, tap your profile icon:

  4. Scroll down the screen to the Updates section.

  5. If the VRIFY App is in this section, tap Update.

    1. If the VRIFY App is not in the Updates section, it means it is up to date and no further action is required.

  6. Once the VRIFY App has completed updating, you can exit out of the App Store and open the latest version of VRIFY.

  7. Done!


Best Practices

  • You will need to be connected to a strong Wi-Fi signal to update the app. If your iPad or iPhone have a data plan, it is best practice to install updates while connected to Wi-Fi to prevent using your available data.

  • You can set your apps to auto-update to ensure you won't need to manually update the VRIFY App regularly.

  • Even if you have auto-updates enabled, check that the VRIFY App is up to date prior to any presentations and/or before losing access to Wi-Fi if you will be presenting at a remote location with unreliable or no Wi-Fi connection.
