Overview
You can create Labels on 3D Slides within the Layers of your 3D Models to identify key areas such as infrastructure, place names, and main points of interest like zones and projects.
If you have a previously created custom Label, it will continue to be managed by the VRIFY team. However, all other Labels can now be created and managed by you, giving you more control and flexibility to make quick and easy updates as needed.

Best Practices
You can create multi-line Labels by hitting Shift+Enter from a PC, or Shift+Return on a Mac:
Labels are added to the 3D canvas which has an X,Y, and Z axis. Because of this, after moving or editing a Label it is best practice to rotate your camera to ensure the Label is positioned in an acceptable way in a variety of camera angles prior to saving it.
This is particularly important if you may interact with the model in a live presentation.
This is less important when Labels are initially created, because Labels are automatically positioned reasonably across all three axis based on the original camera view. However, it is still helpful to confirm the Label looks as you intend it to from multiple camera angles prior to saving.
We recommend reviewing Label changes on the smallest screen you’ll use to present your Deck (typically an iPad via the VRIFY app) to ensure all Labels appear as intended. This is especially important if you’re managing Labels on a large screen or monitor but presenting from a smaller device.
By default, Labels are created with a flagpole to visually indicate what area of the 3D Model the Label is associated with. To remove the flagpole from your Label to denote a broad area rather than a specific point, click the Label icon next to the font size menu:
If your 3D Model contains many Layers, temporarily hide any Layers that might obstruct the one you want to label. This makes it easier to place your new Label and confirm it is nested under the correct Layer.
Notes
Any Label that you add to a 3D Model will apply to any other slides across all other Decks that use the 3D model you're adding the Label to.
A Label’s font size is automatically set based on your zoom distance, but you can adjust it as needed. Keep in mind that large font size changes may affect how the text appears at different zoom levels. If making significant adjustments, zoom in and out of the Label’s area to confirm it appears as intended before saving.
Labels are nested under the Layer of the 3D Model it is added to, indicated on the Layer sidebar on the right side of the screen:
If you hide a Layer in the 3D Model editor, any Labels nested under that Layer will still be visible unless you also hide the Text Layer(s). To hide a Layer (including its Labels) on the slide you are editing:
Click the eye icon next to the Layer you want to hide.
Check the Slide preview to confirm that the correct Layer has been hidden or shown.
