NOTE: The below instructions are general advice and tips. Please introduce your Customer Success Manager to your conference contact and they would be happy to confirm technical set-up requirements on your behalf prior to the event.

There are two options for presenting with VRIFY at an in-person event.

Option 1: Hardwire connecting your device to a screen with an HDMI cable (preferred):

Option 2: Wirelessly connecting your device to a screen using VRIFY Meetings (requires a strong WIFI connection):

Step-by-Step Instructions

Option 1: Hardwire connecting your device to a screen with an HDMI cable (preferred):

Presenting with an iPad

NOTE: iPad is the preferred option, since it allows you to pre-download your Deck using the VRIFY app and ensure smooth transitions even in the event of any WiFi connectivity issues.

To present with an iPad you'll need:

  • HDMI adapter (compatible with your iPad) - Needed to plug into a screen on stage. Newer iPads and iPad pros will require a USB-C adapter.

  • iPad (iOS) software is updated to the latest version - Check your operating system is up-to-date by opening your iPad's settings, then general, then software update. Ensure this update is done the night before your presentation, as it can take a while to complete.

  • VRIFY app (latest version) - If a newer version is available, you’ll see an ‘Update’ icon beside the app in the App Store.

  • Internet connectivity - This is not required during your presentation, but is required to download your deck beforehand. We recommend doing this the night before with a strong WIFI connection. We also recommend installing a data sim card in your iPad in order to always have internet access, regardless of WIFI availability.

To download your deck:

  1. Log into the VRIFY app

  2. Click on the download icon beneath the deck you wish to present.

    1. You'll know download is complete when the icon changes to ‘...

Once you’re ready to start presenting:

  1. At the podium, plug in the HDMI cable and adapter to your iPad.

  2. Click Present and then View Deck

  3. Your deck will now appear on the screen behind you and you're ready to go!

    1. Note: the VRIFY app is equipped with a "Presenter Mode" feature, which automatically removes the menu and host controls from the audience view, but remain on the iPad.

  4. Once your presentation is complete, simply unplug your iPad and adapter from the HDMI cord.

Presenting with a laptop

To present with a laptop you'll need:

  • HDMI adaptor (compatible with your laptop and event set up) - Confirm with event organizers which adapter is required in order to plug in at the podium. Some possible adapters may include: USB-C to HDMI, Mini HDMI to HDMI, VGA to HDMI.

  • Chrome Browser (latest version) - Recommended for best performance with VRIFY.

  • Internet Connectivity

Just before your presentation:

  1. Log into your account on VRIFY.com and open the Deck you wish to present.

  2. Click through your 3D model and 360 photo slides (This will pre-load the images and help avoid any 'loading' or ‘rendering’ lags during your presentation)

Once you’re ready to start presenting:

  1. Close the navigation bar on the left side of your Deck if you want it hidden during your presentation and use the arrows to transition between slides.

  2. Use Ctrl + F11 on Windows 11 to put the presentation in full-screen mode from Chrome and ^⌘f in macOS

    • You can also access full screen by selecting the menu (three-dot) icon in the upper-right corner of Chrome.

    • In the Zoom section, select the square icon on the right.

  3. To start presenting: plug in the HDMI adapter to your laptop. The screen should be set to mirror (on Mac) or duplicate (on Windows). The device should remember the last setting used.

Windows 10

4. When you’re done presenting, unplug your adapter before exiting your Deck. This will avoid viewers seeing any private content under your company profile (remember that private or secure content is only visible to company admins when logged in).
