How to present a Deck on an Apple TV without an internet connection

Updated over a week ago

Using an Apple TV and Apple's AirPlay technology (also known as Screen Mirroring), you can present your Deck on a TV or Projector using a connected Apple TV. This allows you to move about freely using your iPad to control the slides and annotate.

Please note: This feature requires an Apple TV 4K or higher.

On your Apple TV

  1. Connect your Apple TV to your TV or Projector using an HDMI cable

  2. On the Apple TV, go to Settings, then scroll down to AirPlay and HomeKit

  3. Make sure AirPlay is turned ON

  4. Scroll down and select Allow Access

  5. Make sure "Allow Access" is set to "Anyone on the Same Network"

  6. Scroll down to "Apple TV Options" and make sure "Also Allow Nearby to AirPlay" is turned ON

On your iPad

  1. Make sure you've pre-downloaded the Deck(s) you want to present

  2. Tap the Profile tab, then tap "Downloaded Decks and Projects"

  3. Select the Deck you want to present

  4. Swipe down from the top right and look for the icon that is two rectangles overlapping, called "Screen Mirroring". See icon below:

  5. Select your Apple TV from the list

  6. Your Deck will appear on the TV or Projector and you can navigate using the iPad

  7. That's it!
