Set Access Permissions for Decks

Learn how to set your Deck as Public, Private, or Secure.

Updated this week

Overview

Secure and Private Decks let you control access by setting specific permissions, ensuring that only the intended audience, whether inside or outside your company, can view your content.

Three Access Permissions

You can choose between three access permissions when creating a Deck:

Deck Type

Company Admins

External Viewers

Embeds

Public Decks

All Company Admins can view and make edits.

Anyone with a meeting link or direct link can view.

✅ Can be embedded on a company website and viewed by anyone.

Private Decks

All Company Admins can view and make edits.

Only viewable with a Secure Link.

❌ Cannot be embedded. Will only be viewable to Company Admins.

Secure Decks

Only visible to Company Admins who have been given a Secure Link.

Only viewable with a Secure Link.

❌ Cannot be embedded. Will only be viewable to users with a Secure Link.

What is a Secure Link?

Secure Links are different from Secure Decks.

A Secure Link is a special URL that Company Admins can generate to give specific external users access to a Private or Secure Deck.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open Deck Settings

    • Navigate to the Deck you want to edit.

    • Click the 3-dot menu beside the Deck’s title.

    • Select Deck Settings.

  2. Adjust Access Permission

  3. Save Your Changes

    • Click Update to apply the new access settings.

Note: When you change the access permission of a Deck to Secure, only you will have editing and viewing permissions by default. To grant access to others, you must manually add additional Company Admins and/or the VRIFY Team.

Notes

  • By default, all new Decks are created with the Private access setting. This means only your Company Admins can view the Deck until you update the permissions.

  • In the Manage Access settings, granting access to the VRIFY team will grant viewing and editing permissions to your designated Customer Success Manager and Implementation Specialist.
