Navigate and Edit the Canvas in VRIFY Explore

Learn how to move around the canvas and select, copy, and delete steps in VRIFY Explore.

Overview

The canvas in VRIFY Explore is the workspace where you build a workflow from connected steps. Use the canvas tools to pan and zoom, select one or more steps, and move, copy, or delete them together.

VRIFY Explore saves step positions automatically.

ℹ️ VRIFY Explore is not yet available to all clients. To ask about access, contact your VRIFY representative.

Move Around the Canvas in VRIFY Explore

  • Pan: With Pointer selected, drag an empty area of the canvas. You can also hold Space and drag, or drag with the middle mouse button. Scrolling also moves the canvas.

  • Zoom: Use Zoom in and Zoom out, or pinch the trackpad. On a mouse, hold Command (Mac) or Ctrl (Windows) while you scroll. Zoom stays centred on the pointer.

  • Reset: Select the zoom percentage to return the canvas to 100%.

  • Fit to canvas (Shift+F): Frames every step in the workflow. When two or more steps are selected, it frames that selection.

  • Zoom to area (Shift+M): Drag a rectangle around the area you want to see more closely. This tool is unavailable at the maximum zoom level.

Select Steps in VRIFY Explore

  • Pointer (V): Select one step. Click an empty area of the canvas to clear the selection.

  • Rectangle select (M): Drag a rectangle around the steps you want. A step is included when its centre falls inside the rectangle.

  • Lasso select (L): Draw a freehand shape around the steps you want. A step is included when its centre falls inside the shape.

To add steps to the current selection, hold Shift while you click a step, or while you use Rectangle select or Lasso select. Shift-click a selected step to remove it.

Move, Copy, and Delete Steps in VRIFY Explore

  • Move: Drag any selected step to move the whole selection together.

  • Delete: Press Delete to remove every selected step.

  • Copy: Press Command+C (Mac) or Ctrl+C (Windows) to copy the selected steps. Connections are included only when both connected steps are selected.

  • Paste: Press Command+V (Mac) or Ctrl+V (Windows) to paste the copy into the same workflow.

Each workflow has its own clipboard. You cannot paste steps copied in one workflow into another workflow.
