Creating a Point or Line Data Workflow in VRIFY Explore

Learn how to create a point or line data workflow in VRIFY Explore and filter your data.

Overview

In VRIFY Explore, a point or line data workflow lets you import point or line data, filter it by columns or rows, and pass it into a Data Augmentation module.

ℹ️ VRIFY Explore is not yet available to all clients. To ask about access, contact your VRIFY representative.

Step by Step Instructions

Create a New Workflow

  1. Go to VRIFY Explore, under Predict in the left-side panel.

  2. Click Create Workflow.

  3. Enter a name for your workflow.

  4. If you have more than one asset, select the asset you want to work with.

  5. Click Create Workflow. The workspace will load.

Use either option to open the Add Step sidebar on the left:

  • Click Add a step to start building your workflow in the middle of the workspace.

  • Click the + icon.

Then, under Source, select Select Line Data or Select Point Data.

Select and Apply Data

  1. Click the step on the workspace to open the Step Details sidebar on the right.

  2. Click the dropdown and select your point or line dataset.

  3. Review the Dataset Preview to confirm your columns and rows.

  4. Click Apply Selection.

Select Apply Selection before you leave the step. Changes inside a step are not complete until you apply them.

Connect to the Next Step

  1. Click the connection point (circle) on the step.

  2. Select the next step from the Add Step sidebar on the left. A placeholder step appears in the workspace.

You can click and drag steps to reposition them on the workspace.

Transform Data (Optional)

You can connect a Transform step to the original data source or to a previously filtered step.

Filter Columns

  1. Add filter rules using the select, where, and value options.

  2. Click column pills to include them in your dataset.

  3. Review the Dataset Preview to confirm your selection.

  4. Click Apply Changes.

Filter Rows

  1. Add filter rules by selecting a column, operator, and value.

  2. Optionally, enable subsampling.

  3. Review the Dataset Preview to confirm your selection.

  4. Click Apply Changes.

Select Apply Changes before you leave the step. Changes inside a step are not complete until you apply them.

Filter Rows by Text

The Contain and Does Not Contain operators match text anywhere in a column value. Enter the text you want to match in the value field. Contain keeps rows whose value includes your text. Does Not Contain keeps rows whose value does not include it.

For example, to exclude a drill campaign, select the hole ID column, select Does Not Contain, and enter the code that identifies the campaign, such as LR.

Pass Data into a Data Augmentation Module

  1. Open the Add Step sidebar on the left and select a Data Augmentation module.

Available modules depend on your input data. Each module has its own workflow, depending on the input data, parameters, and output rasters. See Data Augmentation Modules Organized By Data Type for which modules accept point and line data.

Save Output Rasters

Add a Save to Asset or Save as Draft Terminal step to keep your output rasters. See Saving and Exporting Outputs in VRIFY Explore.

Additional Notes

If you change a step, any connected downstream steps show a warning to rerun with the updated data.
