Overview
You can upload new Learning Points files directly into the Prediction Map workflow. Follow the steps below to learn how.
Learning Points File Requirements
Geometry
PointZ shapefile only
MultipointZ, polygon, and line files are not supported
Z (Elevation) Data
Z values must be stored as a column in the attribute table
Z values cannot be read from geometry alone
DORA aliases this column as the Z / elevation field during setup
Attribute Values
Values must be numeric floats
Example: 5.0 (not 5)
Integer and categorical values are not supported
Learning Classes
DORA cannot filter Learning Points by class.
Create separate files for different classes or class combinations
Example: outcrop + drilling vs. drilling only
Preparing Files for Upload
Required files:
.
shp.shx.dbf.prj
Optional files (such as .cpg or .qmd) may be included.
All required files must be uploaded together.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Open a Prediction Map
Open the Prediction Map you want to upload a new Learning Points file to.
You can upload new files at any step, but to use the new Learning Points in your experiment, return to Step 3: Set Up Learning Data.
Upload Learning Points Files
Drag and drop all four required files into the Prediction Map UI.
If a file is missing, an error will appear.
Select File from Drop Down
Your new Learning Points file will be available in the drop-down menu.
Note that it can take up to 15 minutes to upload. You may need to refresh the screen if you don’t see the new file reflected immediately.
Select the new file, then continue with Step 3: Set Up Learning Data.
Notes
Required files:
.shp.shx.dbf.prj
If you're using synthetic or conceptual learning data (e.g., expert interpretation without drill assays), DORA expects values in decimal format. Even whole-number confidence levels (e.g., 1, 5, 20) must be written as floats (e.g., 1.0, 5.0) to avoid upload errors.
You can also upload a new Area of Interest shapefile directly into the DORA interface.
