Introduction to the DORA Interface

Learn how to access, navigate, and begin working with DORA to create your first Prediction Map.

Overview

This article provides a step-by-step introduction to the DORA interface. You’ll learn how to navigate the interface and available tools when creating a Prediction Map.


Step-by-Step Instructions

Create a New Experiment

  1. Start a New Experiment

    • Click Create Experiment.

    • Create Experiment button
    • Enter an experiment name and select the asset you'd like to use. Note: The name can be changed later. The asset cannot.

  2. Proceed to Workspace

    • Click Proceed to launch your experiment.

  3. Work Through the Step Panel

    • Use the left-hand panel to move through each step of the Prediction Map workflow.

    • Click the question icon next to any step for a tooltip.

    • Click Learn More within a tooltip to open related help articles.


Get Oriented with the Top Navigation Bar

  1. Rename Experiment or Add a Helpful Summary

    • Your experiment name and summary icon (notebook) is located in the upper left.

    • Your company name and selected asset appear in the upper right.

    • You can open multiple experiments in separate tabs.

  2. Access Resources and Support

    • Click the question mark icon in the top bar and select Resource Link to open the DORA Knowledge Base.

    • Use the same menu to provide feedback on the DORA experience.

  3. Return to Home or Share Results

    • Click the home icon to return to the DORA dashboard.

    • Click the Share icon to generate a view-only link to a completed Prediction Map.

Customize Your Workspace View

  1. Move DORA Workflow Steps

    • You can click and drag steps to the right drawer for a better workspace layout.

    • Collapse or expand the left-side menu as needed.

  2. Use the View Panel Controls

    • Left-click + drag to rotate the model.

    • Right-click + drag to pan around.

    • Scroll or pinch to zoom in and out.

    • Click the compass icon (top right) to switch to an overhead view.

  3. Use Display Tools in the Lower Right

    • 3D Layers List: Toggle visibility of geological and geophysical layers.

    • Vertical Exaggeration: Emphasize elevation or subsurface structure in the model.

    • These tools help tailor the 3D environment for better geological interpretation.

  4. Compare Prospectivity Scores

    • Once you’ve completed at least two experiments using the same asset, you’ll be able to compare VRIFY Prospectivity Scores (VPS) in a single view.
