[DORA 2.0] Upload a New AOI to DORA

Learn the steps to upload and delete your own AOI into a DORA.

Overview

You can upload and delete new AOI files directly in the Prediction Map workflow. Follow the steps below to learn how.


Step by Step Instructions

Prepare AOI Files

  1. Create a Polygon Shapefile.

    • Use QGIS or another GIS program to create the shapefile.

  2. Prepare Files for Upload

    • Ensure you have all four required file types (.shp, .shx, .dbf, .prj); all four must be uploaded together.

    • Additional files (like .cpg or .qmd) are optional and can be included if available.


Upload AOI

  1. Open the Experiment

    • Open or start a new experiment.

    • Open Step 1: Select Area of Interest (AOI).

  2. Upload AOI Files

    • Open the AOI dropdown list.

    • Click Manage AOI at the bottom of the list.

    • In the upload window, ensure you are on the Upload tab:

      • Drag and drop all four required AOI files, or

      • Click Browse Files to select the files from your computer.

    • Click Upload AOI.

      • If any required file is missing, an error message will appear.

  3. Apply the New AOI

    • Select the newly uploaded AOI from the dropdown list.

      • Uploading may take several minutes, depending on file size.

      • If the new AOI does not appear in the dropdown, refresh the page.

    • Click Apply AOI to continue the experiment.

Delete AOI

You can delete AOI files from the same screen. To do this:

  1. Open the Manage Tab

    • Click Manage to open the appropriate tab.

  2. Delete an AOI File

    • Click the garbage can icon next to the file you wish to delete.

    • Confirm that you want to delete.

      Check "I understand and wish to continue"
    • Click Done when complete.
