Learn how to compare multiple VRIFY Prospectivity Scores (VPS) on a single Prediction Map.

Updated today

Overview

This article explains how to compare multiple Prediction Maps within DORA using the Compare Experiments option. Geoscientists can use this tool to visually assess how different models that are built on the same asset perform side by side. It’s especially useful for evaluating the impact of varying input features and parameters on predictive outcomes.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Complete Your Prediction Maps

    • Make sure you have at least two completed Prediction Maps using the same asset.

  2. Start a Comparison

    • Open the first Prediction Map.

    • Click Compare Experiments in the lower-right corner:

Compare Experiments option in lower right
    • A list will appear showing experiments that have completed Step 5: Build Predictive Model:

      • Proceed button
  4. View Comparison

    • The VRIFY Prospectivity Score (VPS) from the original Prediction Map will appear in pink scale.

    • Additional VPS’s will be displayed in blue scale underneath:

    • Adjust the VPS slider to see how the experiments compare on the original Prediction Map.

Notes

  • Use the 3D Layers List to toggle comparisons on or off on the map:

  • You can compare multiple experiments to the original, but not to each other.
